I am Titanium. Jk, I am Shirin.
Updates. 21 November 2013

Visited the Arts Science Museum with Cindi for Chanel's: The Little Black Jacket exhibit and The Apocalypse Project by students of NUS.

The Little Black Jacket was quite cool. It looked really great on all the models. Be it male, female. Old, young.

Free entrance to the Little Black Jacket.
PLUS!
They give out 3 posters of the Little Black Jacket worn by different models. Some people took A LOT. By a lot, I do mean really a lot of the posters.

Satay by the Bay with family for dinner. It was my first time there and I didn't know that place existed. (Sorry for being slow.)

Sunset with the MBS building. One of my best shots of the day.

BBQ Chicken Wings!
I swear their chicken wings are the best. YUM. (DROOLS.)

MBS building from Satay by the Bay.
The best shot of the night. I need to work on my photography skills.

School's been great so far and Mid Semester Tests are just around the corner! It doesn't feel like 6 weeks of school had past. Time really flies, fast. Fallen sick this week, body aching, sore throat, a little flu and fever. Had a couple of tests and I pretty much screwed the tests. :/ (Sigh)

Got to know more about my classmates in 1B01. They are really friendly and jokers. Cracking jokes, disturbing one another, etc. Hopefully we'll get to know one another better, like 1A01

Week 5: Lemon Macarons made by Gladly, for our AMM class.
It tastes really really great despite the looks. Thank god for the sweet treats, if not we would have a hard time concentrating in AMM class.

Week 6: Double Chocolate Walnut Muffin/Cupcakes from the lovely Gladly(again!) for our AMM make up lesson. (:  It tastes sooo good and the smell of the muffin/cupcake is just, WOW.

Lunch + Lepak session with them before class.
Watching GLEE, listening to music, doing crap, playing Nintendo 3Ds. Yup.

Had AMM make up lesson from 3-7pm. Yeah that's right. Thus we had dinner in school and we even thought of sleeping over in school because we will be having AMM the next day @ 8am, so why not?
BUT...
We do not have extra clothes. If not, we would definitely stay over.

Played Heads Up with the AMM bunch again and it never gets old. We'll have non-stop laughter.

/Category: Animal. Ans: Platypus/
Us: Perry! Phineas and Ferb! That green thing.
Andre: OH OH. *Does a duck hand-sign*  Phinees? (pretty much sounded wrong, you know what I mean...) Oh Ferb?

Can't believe Andre didn't know how to pronounce Phineas. HAHAHA.

/Category: Accents and Impressions Ans: German/
Us: They sound quite fierce. They drink a lot of beer!
Andre: Hokkien?!

/Category: Animals. Ans: Red Panda/
Us: What is this colour?
Jason: Red.
Us: Kungfu..?
Jason: Panda!
Us: Yah yah, join those two!
Jason: Red Kungfu Panda!!!

HAHAHAHAH I can't stop laughing at them while playing Heads Up. So many more hilarious stuff happened.

Hopefully these would make you guys laugh (a little)/ probably smile after a long and tiring day. (:

On another note,
Help me "Like" my photo on Facebook!
Thank you so much.

Have a great weekend! (:

Home Based Learning Week. 09 November 2013

Had been cooped at home for 2 days straight. I was too lazy to leave the house to buy lunch or anything. Well at least I finished my work on time. Skyped with the guys and Gladly to discuss about work and yeah, it was quite fun.

Finally, I got to step out of the house for dinner with Chai @ town. We decided to try out Nam Nam Noodle Bar, Vietnam cuisine. I'm not really use to the taste of coriander in my food and I do mean a lot of coriander in my food.

TOO MUCH CORIANDER!!!!

We then tried Ladurée's Macaron @ Ngee Ann City. Chai ordered the Ginger Bread flavour while I took the Salted Caramel one.

We both agreed that it was quite a disappointment for $3.80. ):
The Salted Caramel that I ordered wasn't salted at all, not even a hint of saltiness. It tastes just like normal caramel. Was really disappointed. Sigh.

Last minute shot before we left.
The Xinlins. (:

Bernice and Xinlin then came over to my place to study, lunch and bake. (: Bernice and I went to buy the ingredients then cooked lunch for 3. (: Thus making Chai to wash the dishes. HAHAHA.

Presenting our homemade lunch for 3. (: Surprisingly, it turned out great.

Sort of failed our first attempt to make Oreo muffin/cupcake. Oh mann. ):

Photo with the babes. (:

Parents took a day off as Cindi's lessons end really early and well, I have done my work.
We headed to Mustafa Center to buy gifts for our China trip to visit our relatives there. It will be our first time visiting them, really excited for the trip. (:

The amount of Axe Oil we bought for the trip!!
Plus it was very very heavy, the basket was about to break, I swear.

Totally random, but look at the different type of tapes they've gotten! And this is only one aisle.

Was really shocked by the amount of instant noodles they sell. Too much, too overwhelming.

We then headed to Dong Po Colonial Cafe @ Kandahar Street for my traditional Coconut Tart, finally! Had been craving for them since who-knows-when.

The amount of traditional pastries they sell here.YUM!!

Coconut Tart.
It was a little sweet, but who cares.
CRAVINGS SATISFIED! (:

Almond Macaroon (Tart)
Delicious!

Ordered a Coconut Tart, Almond Macaroon, Butterfly Cupcake and Tea. (:

Bostock.
Really great and unique taste. (:

The cafe itself has that nostalgic feel. Playing all the very old Chinese songs, even I know at least one of the songs. It was from one of the TV drama that they used to show on Channel 8 when I was maybe 7 y/o.

The tables has all the traditional items showcased too. Every table has different items placed. So much feel for the place.

Walked around Arab Street and Haji Lane.

One of my favourite shot of the day. (:

 Haji Lane. (:

Oh, oh!
My second night driving lesson with a different instructor, I was really nervous. Not sure why, but I drove quite badly. Oh man. Made quite a few mistakes in the circuit, I even mount the kerb! That area was kind of  dark, thus I mount the kerb. ): Thank goodness the instructor didn't scold me, but trust me, I was feeling so bad when I made the mistake and he didn't scold me.

Well, I guess this would be the feeling when I take my driving test. I need to relax and just drive as per normal.

Enjoy your week ahead! (:

Foodie Adventure, part 2. (With some updates.) 02 November 2013

I PASSED MY FINAL THEORY TEST!!!
One step closer to getting my driver's licence. Had my first night driving lesson and the instructor told me that I should be able to go for Practical Test soon. I was so shocked as I just started learning not long ago.... But I can't wait to get it over and done with and get my licence.

Had the mood to bake cupcakes for quite sometime. Thus, I took the opportunity, after class and rushed home to bake. I guess it was kind of a success for the taste, but it looked.... not really like a cupcake. (HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA OH GOD.)

Yeap, its RED this time round.

Brought the Red Velvet Cupcakes (without Frosting, because I suck at making good Cream Cheese Frosting.) for the AMM bunch. (: Luckily it tastes okay.

Our AMM Lecturer let us try a PSLE Math question and all I can say is, ASDFGHJKL!! It was so tough that I still have a hard time understanding the solution. (I guess some of the AMM guys as well)

As usual, lunched with the AMM group (1A01s).

Met Cindi for lunch @ Holland Village. It was my first time @ d'Good Cafe and I had been wanting to go there since forever. The layout is really nice, they have their own so-called elevator, swing seats, outdoor seats, etc.

Their elevator is just a platform that goes up and down.

Ordering section. It's just too lovely.

Second level which has the Swing Seats. (Not really clear of the swings at the back of the photo.)

We sat at the third level as there wasn't any seats at the second level. ):

Fresh Prawn Aglio Olio. Yum! The spiciness was just right.

Cindi's Baked Chicken Alfredo.

d'Good Triplet Cheesecake.
Chocolate Macaron, Chocolate Mousse-like layer and Cheesecake at the bottom. It was really divine!

I would go back to d'Good Cafe, but only for their cakes/ waffle.
Their mains are so-so and rather expensive.

Maxwell Market's Heng Heng Tapioca Cake. I was so excited to eat it! (: Had been craving for it since September, its either I can't find the time to head down or by the time I reach Chinatown, the stall would be closed already. This is the only stall I would get my tapioca cake from.

This is the first time I'm trying their Ondeh Ondeh and it was rather disappointing, but I heard and read that it was good as well. I'm not sure why it didn't taste as great and I was so disappointed. ): However their Tapioca Cake is so soft and yummy.

Such a random shot along Ann Siang Road. Taken by Cindi.

Club Street.

Look who's posing! (:  Taken @ Ann Siang Hill.

Love this shot taken by Dad.
Pardon the dressing, it's super duper casual.

HAPPY  WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO LE PARENTS.

Found this very traditional/ olden day's barber at a narrow lane near Ann Siang Hill/ Club Street.

Just a random shot of Chinatown.

Also...
My ankle's condition has gotten better and it's not very swollen! (: I really wanna go jogging soon, it has been soooooo long.

School has been good and new friends made! (: Not much dread for now.

Have a great week! xoxo. (:
